Adult Sailing - Learn to Race

The Adult Learn to Race Program will meet Six Thursday evenings 5:30pm-7:30pm, June 22nd through August 3rd. The class will not meet on Thursday 7/27. This program will focus on preparing sailors to race safely and successfully in Wianno Seniors, while building on a foundation of sailing and boat-specific knowledge. Participants will become proficient with skippering (driving) a Wianno Senior in addition to each of the crewing roles. Sailors will also learn course tactics and basic race strategy, culminating in participation in one of the weekly Wianno Senior Races on Saturdays and Sundays. Classes may be cancelled if weather is inclement. Space IS limited; this class WILL be capped to ensure the best possible experience for the participants. The program fee is $950.
