2009 Midsumma’s Team Race

Wianno Yacht Club, Osterville MA

1 RULES

1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing and Appendix D- Team Racing Rules.

1.2 The prescriptions of the US national authority will apply.

2 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY 

2.1 The regatta is open to the first 16 entries who submit three completed Entry Form for each boat on their team and pay the full entry fee electronically. A team is not considered registered until all three boats have submitted their entry fee. To enter this regatta, click here.

3 FEES

3.1 Entry fee is  $210 per team.

4 SCHEDULE

    Friday 7/17: 4:30-7:00 Drop off of boats available at the club.

    Saturday 7/18: 7:30-8:30 Drop off boats, park trailers/cars, pick up bow numbers, SI’s, wristbands (for team members 21 and over).

        First race will begin at 9:30.

        6:00 PM: Pizza, Refreshments, at Wianno Yacht Club

    Sunday 7/19: Racing resumes at 10:00 AM

5 PARKING

There is limited parking at Wianno Yacht Club, additional parking will be available at Oyster Harbors Marine, across the street and over the bridge from WYC. Maps will be available at WYC on Friday night and Saturday morning. No cars and trailers shall be left at the yacht club while racing is occurring.

6 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

The sailing instructions will be available at the regatta.

7 VENUE

Sailing will occur at Wianno Yacht Club, Osterville, MA outside the cut in Nantucket sound.

9 SAFETY

All competitors shall wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved PFD at all times while on the water.

10 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

The Captain of each team must sign a liability waiver for the team.
